Third Entry

First day with third graders. Professor Esperanza is an experiment teacher that will allow me to understand and overlook how class management has changed with the generational change among the teachers. She has this keen management of classroom that buys some time for actually developing classes effectively. Further, in this grade I started facing a hard reality that face our society and so on, our schools, venezuelan immigrants that start their new homes here in Colombia, which means that their sons must go to colombian schools regarding the universal right of education and helping for this new generations to soften the hard shot given by the political war and poorness at their home country. There is an student that most teacher say looks denourished and has a lack of attention. He is a nice boy, but as I am conscious of this situation I start understanding some of his attitudes. As teachers we must try to understand this social problems that affect the students of our schools and based to the sad facts we see, read and hear everywhere about our neighbour's citizens and children are obeyed to challenge while traveling far from the harsh situations that happen in their country. We can help them soften it as we form them, approaching different perspectives of life by enhancing their posibilities as human beings taking them apart of the failure ideals a war must build in their minds. Every student tells a story and that is what we must take in account when we observe problematical responses or attitudes while on the development of a class. Authority can be among a transformative sight and used to improve lifes instead of conditioning them.
